Lease Application

Please completely fill out the application form and submit it. You will receive notification that we have received your application within a few days. We seek to work with applicants and respond to application requests in a timely manner. Consideration of applications for Fall occupancy (August 20 - Dec. 31) generally begins in March every year. Consideration for Winter occupancy (January 1 - May 15) occurs as applications are received. Consideration for Spring/Summer (May 15 - August 20) is continuous, as openings occur.

We ask that you give special emphasis to the part of the application form that asks you to write "For what reasons do you wish to live at the Ecumenical Center - an intentional living-learning community of students from around the world?" Because ECIR is both a place to live and an intentional community with programming, we would like to hear why this living situation interests you.

Applications may be completed and submitted online at www.ecir.org or in person, at ECIR, 921 Church St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104, Telephone: 734-662-5529

Questions

Commitment to the International Community

  • I understand that this is an interfaith-ecumenical-international residence in which many patterns of living are represented and that a major purpose of the Center is to recognize our differences and to learn from each other.
  • I agree to participate in programs planned by the residents and staff and to help plan at least one program or activity each semester.
  • I agree to share (where applicable) an apartment with anyone, regardless of his or her nationality or faith.
  • I understand that sharing apartments requires sensitivity to others and necessitates each person making some compromises for the good of the apartment group.
  • I am aware that ECIR is a smoke-free building and agree to honor this stipulation.
